Theme: Be Strong and Courageous

Scripture: Joshua 1:9 – "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Reflection:

When God called Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, He repeatedly told him to be strong and courageous. This was not just an encouragement but a command. Joshua was stepping into a new season, filled with challenges, battles, and uncertainties, but God assured him of His presence.

Like Joshua, we all face moments when fear and discouragement try to hold us back. Maybe it's a new responsibility, a difficult decision, or an unknown future. But God's promise remains the same—"I will be with you wherever you go." We don’t have to rely on our strength; we can draw courage from God's unfailing presence.

Application:

•Trust in God's promises, even when the path ahead is uncertain.

•Replace fear with faith, knowing God is with you.

•Take bold steps in obedience, just as Joshua did.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to be with me wherever I go. When fear and discouragement arise, help me to stand strong in faith. Give me the courage to step forward in obedience, knowing that You are leading the way. In Jesus' name,

We often look at the swift and dramatic discipline and punishment God used with his people in the Old Testament and are struck by its severity. The Holy Spirit reminds us that while this was true, to spurn grace and ridicule the sacrificial death of Jesus are actions all the more worthy of God's punishment. Grace is incredible.
