Theme: Be Strong and Courageous

Scripture: Joshua 1:9 – "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Reflection:

When God called Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, He repeatedly told him to be strong and courageous. This was not just an encouragement but a command. Joshua was stepping into a new season, filled with challenges, battles, and uncertainties, but God assured him of His presence.

Like Joshua, we all face moments when fear and discouragement try to hold us back. Maybe it's a new responsibility, a difficult decision, or an unknown future. But God's promise remains the same—"I will be with you wherever you go." We don’t have to rely on our strength; we can draw courage from God's unfailing presence.

Application:

•Trust in God's promises, even when the path ahead is uncertain.

•Replace fear with faith, knowing God is with you.

•Take bold steps in obedience, just as Joshua did.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to be with me wherever I go. When fear and discouragement arise, help me to stand strong in faith. Give me the courage to step forward in obedience, knowing that You are leading the way. In Jesus' name,

WHEN BITTERNESS CLOUDS YOUR HOPE “Do not call me Naomi,” she replied. “Call me Mara,because the Almighty; has dealt quite bitterly with me. -Ruth 1:20(BSB) (20b Naomi means pleasant . 20 c Mara means bitter.) Naomi lost everything—her husband, her sons, her sense of purpose. She renamed herself Mara, meaning bitter, because that’s how deep the sorrow ran. And yet, even in her brokenness, she didn’t walk alone. God was already preparing redemption, even when she couldn’t see it. Beloved, grief may change your story, but it doesn’t cancel God’s promises. Even in the bitterness, He is moving. Your heart won’t stay Mara forever—joy is on the way! Stay hopeful! PRAYER POINT: Abba Father, You see the places in me that have gone bitter. Thank You that You don’t leave me there. Restore hope where sorrow has settled. AMEN.

HEALING FLOWS THROUGH HUMILITY

HEALING IN HUMILITY AND OBEDIENCE And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? 2 Kings 5:13 (KJV) Naaman wanted a grand miracle, not a dip in a dirty river. Sometimes pride hides in our expectations of how God should move. Healing didn’t come through status or power, but through humility. The greatest breakthroughs often begin with surrender. Beloved, don’t let pride keep you from the healing God is offering. Even if the way feels small or strange, trust Him. The answer you need may come through unexpected obedience. PRAYER POINT: Lord, teach me to obey even when I don’t understand. Break down my pride so I can receive all that You have for me. Let humility lead me into Your healing in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

When Doubt Feels Safer Than Hope – Finding Faith Again in Christ

WHEN DOUBT FEELS SAFER THAN HOPE The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. John 20:25 (KJV) Doubt doesn’t always come from rebellion—it often comes from pain. Thomas had believed and hoped once. But after seeing Jesus crucified, he decided the safest thing to do was to stop hoping altogether. Sometimes, when the heart has been wounded, it feels easier not to believe at all unless you see! Does this resonate with you? Beloved, Jesus is not offended by your doubts. He meets you right where you are, gently offering proof of His love. Your doubt isn’t the end of the story—it might just be the place where faith can begin again. Seek Him and hear His voice.
