ESCAPED LIKE A BIRD


 Psalm 124:7 – "We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped."

Devotion

Life is filled with traps—situations designed by the enemy to entangle and destroy us. These snares could be sin, fear, doubt, addiction, or even oppression from others. But the psalmist declares a powerful truth: we have escaped! The snare is broken, not by our strength, but by the hand of the Lord.

When the enemy sets traps, God is our rescuer. Just as a bird caught in a hunter’s snare is helpless without intervention, we, too, need God's saving power. Through Jesus Christ, the greatest trap of all—sin and death—has been broken (Romans 6:23). No matter what the enemy plots, God's power ensures our escape.

Are you feeling trapped today? Call on the Lord. He is the One who breaks every snare, setting His people free to soar again.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my deliverer. I declare that every snare of the enemy is broken in my life. Set me free from anything that seeks to hold me captive. Let me walk in the freedom that Jesus Christ has purchased for me. In Jesus' name,

HEALING IN HUMILITY AND OBEDIENCE  And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? 2 Kings 5:13 (KJV) Naaman wanted a grand miracle, not a dip in a dirty river. Sometimes pride hides in our expectations of how God should move. Healing didn’t come through status or power, but through humility. The greatest breakthroughs often begin with surrender. Beloved, don’t let pride keep you from the healing God is offering. Even if the way feels small or strange, trust Him. The answer you need may come through unexpected obedience. PRAYER POINT:  Lord, teach me to obey even when I don’t understand. Break down my pride so I can receive all that You have for me. Let humility lead me into Your healing in Jesus’ name.  AMEN.
